Toilet Records presents the 4th annual Five Eyes Festival benefit concert featuring Reggie Watts, July 14th at Public Assembly in Brooklyn

The Five Eyes Festival is a Brooklyn annual music and arts showcase benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Each year a group of fellow Brooklyn artists and friends come together to present emerging and established talent from around NYC with the goal of raising money to benefit research to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.   The 2011 Five Eyes festival will be held at Public Assembly in Brooklyn on July 14th and feature renowned Comedian/Musician Reggie Watts. Hilarious, brilliant, unpredictable – award winning comedian/musician Reggie Watts is a staple of the international performance scene. Reggie’s improvised musical sets are created on-the-spot using only his formidable voice and a looping machine. Recently having performed at NYC and Brooklyn’s Summer Stage as well as two sold out shows at Music Hall of Williamsburg. On screen, Reggie has appeared numerous times on Conan, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, HBO’s The Yes Men Save The World, Comedy Central’s Michael and Michael Have Issues.

Also joining the bill will be Brooklyn via Iran post punk band The Yellow Dogs, Ian Hulquist and Sofia degli Alessandri’s electronic music project Aislyn, and Brooklyn punk band Los Toughfists. Advanced tickets are on sale now for $10 here. Doors will open at 7pm, show will start at 8pm.

Shad[]wB[]x Releases Debut EP Titled Lady Doome

Toilet Records is proud to announce the release of ShadowBox’s debut EP titled Lady Doome. Lady Doome marks the first official release from the Brooklyn electronic musician, recorded at her home studio in Brooklyn and co-produced by icky doome. The EP comprises of three tracks which range from ethereal pop to industrial dance. Additional analog mixing on the EP was done by Jim Keller and mastered by Tony Gillis from New York’s The Cutting Room Studio. Look to catch Shad[]wB[]x live this spring 2011.

Toilet Records’ Artists Set To Perform At SXSW 2011

Toilet Records artist Invisible Days and Shad[]wB[]x will be performing at this year’s SXSW. Leading the week will be Invisible Days at the Brooklyn BBQ day show with other local acts Fan Tan and The Vandelles. Wrapping up the week will be Invisible Days at the SXsocial party at the Hampton House. For full schedule please see below.

Shad[]wB[]x will kick of her week with a performance on thursday at the Palm Door as part of the New York Never Sleeps showcase featuring Chico Mann, Young Friends, Computer Magic and DiDi from the Brazilian Girls.
